Michael Keaton was worried about the Boston accent of the character he plays. He was surprised when he watched a video of real Walter Robinson and came to know that he doesn’t have that much of a Boston accent. When Keaton met Robinson in person, he said to him: ” You know you really do not have that much of a Boston accent.”

Director Tom McCarthy played the role of a corrupt reporter in the famous series ‘The Wire’. His character fabricates stories and also receives Pulitzer Prize for that. His character in The Wire is polar opposite of the reporters shown in this movie.
