15. Shot in 80 days over a period of 9 months! 

The Revenant (2015) was shot chronologically on a 80-days schedule which took place over a period of 9 months. This happened due to the cold weather conditions and the remoteness of the locations. It was also because director  Alejandro González Iñárritu and cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki planned to shoot only with natural light for maximum realism. Only a few shooting hours are available every day and have to be carefully planned in advance.

14. Leonardo DiCaprio begged Tom Hardy to read script! 

Tom Hardy has stated that he doesn’t read scripts at first. He was due to star in action movie Splinter Cell (2017). It was Leonardo DiCaprio , who begged him to read the script for this movie. Tom Hardy read half the script and accepted the role.
