The Little Prince (2015) is an animated fantasy film which revolves around a little girl who lives in a very grown-up world with her mother. Her mother tries to prepare her for the world. Meanwhile, her neighbor, The Aviator introduces her to a new extraordinary world of the Little Prince where anything is possible unlike her world.
The Little Prince (2015) is directed by Mark Osborne and the story is based on the French book written by Antoine de Saint Exupery. Jeff Bridges, Rachel McAdams, Paul Rudd, Marion Cotillard, James Franco, Albert Brooks, Benicio Del Toro, MacKenzie Foy, Riley Osborne and Paul Giamatti voiced the characters of this film. Hans Zimmer composed the music.

This film became first non-American animation film to top the Box-Office in Brazil. The film topped the Brazilian chart for 3 consecutive weeks and recorded 2 million admissions as of 18 October, 2015.

16. Director Mark Osborne’s wife gifted him The Little Prince during college days!
Director Mark Osborne revealed that the book Little Prince deeply affected him on a personal level. It was given to him by his wife years ago, back when they were dating. The two were in different colleges at the time and trying to keep their long distance relationship alive. “The Little Prince brought us back together,” he admits. “I paid very close attention to it. It means so much to me and to everyone who has read the book, because it really connects you to the significant relationships and friendships in your life.” Mark Osborne’s wife is thanked in credits.

Oliver d’Agay, author Antoine Saint Exupery’s grand nephew said in an email to Los Angeles times in January 2016: “The movie is extremely faithful to the book. The story of the little girl, her friendship with the aviator, her conflict with her mother, [illustrate] the place of children today in a tough world of competition and solitude. It’s why the two stories are really well linked. This is the originality and the genius of that movie: to show that the magic and the power of the book is still operating today.”

Although the movie was produced by French companies, it was written, directed and voiced first in English. The French version was recorded later.
