10. Director’s words!
Director Duncan Jones said that the Warcraft universe is very high fantasy and he planned to make it feel more grounded in reality. Although he will keep look and feel of the game in the film.
9. Colin Farrell passed on a role!
Colin Farrell was initially approached for the role of King Llane and he even met with the director after reading the script. Finally he dropped out and Dominic Cooper was cast for this role.
8. 10 years in Making!
Blizzard entertainment (Game company) announced a Warcraft film in early 2006. After 10 years Warcraft (2016) will hit the screen.
7. Profesionals hired from original game!
Chris Metzen, the lead story writer and voice of many key characters in Warcraft game series was hired for this film. He is incharge of story of this film.
6. DoomHammer:weapon of Warcraft!
Production house Legendary brought some weapons from the film at the Comic-con 2014 to show off as well as a teaser of the film. Warcraft fan instantly recognized a weapon from the game commonly known as Doomhammer. Doomhammer is one of most iconic weapons in the game.
5. Lothar and Medivh together!
The game characters Lothar and Medivh appear in the film. It is a clear indication that film will follow Warcraft 1 game storyline because Lothar and Medivh meet in that time period only.
4. Script of the film!
Gary Whitta (writer of The Book of Eli (2010)) wrote a script of the film which was later scraped as Sam Raimi took over. Later Sam Raimi left the project and Duncan Jones was hired to direct the film.
3. Comic-Con connections!
A concept trailer was shown at comic-con a few years ago. The trailer had a knight begin a fight with an orc. After some hours, it was revealed that the film had not started pre-production yet.
2. X-Men and Deadpool connection!
Two actors from this film, Ben Foster and Daniel Cudmore, also appear in X-Men universe. Ben has played Angel in X-Men: The last Stand (2006) and Daniel has played Colossus in Deadpool (2016).

1. Warcraft: Orcs and Humans!
Warcraft is an adaptation of the very first Warcraft game. The story focuses on the first war between orcs and humans. Other races (like dwarfs) are also rumoured to appear.
