This film will release as “Zootropolis” in Europe screens. According to the UK Intellectual Property Office’s website, a Zoo in Denmark has the name “Zootopia” trademarked since Feb, 2010. Since “Zootopia” is trademarked in Europe, filmmakers had to do with “Zootropolis”.

11. The body of young Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie (also seen in the film’s first trailer) is provided by actor and body-builder Brett Azar. Arnold famously sported an enormously muscular physique in his first appearance as the Terminator and to recreate that look for this movie,Brett Azar provided his physique and his face was replaced with Arnold’s in post-production. Arnold was always Brett Azar’s body-building idol and Arnold gifted him cigars and several body-building magazines after the first day of shooting.

10. Arnold Schwarzenegger worked out for six months, about three hours a day, before shooting started, by which time he had the exact same body weight and muscle measurements as he had 12 years previously while shooting Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003).

10 Lesser Known Facts About 5 Oscars (2015) Nominated Movie “Whiplash (2014)”!!

Whiplash (2014) is a Musical/Drama directed by Damien Chapelle. The movie was nominated for 5 Academy Awards in Oscars 2015. Whiplash won 3 Oscars including Best Supporting Actor Oscar for J.K. Simmons. The movie is already creating a buzz in Hollywood.

10. During the more intense practice scenes in the shoot, the director wouldn’t yell, “cut!” so that Milles Teller would keep drumming until he exhausted himself.

9. J. K. Simmons suffered two cracked ribs when Miles Teller tackled him during a scene.

8. The film was shot only in 19 days and submitted to Sundance Film Festival in 10 weeks including editing, dubbing of the movie.

7. The director and writer of the film, Damien Chazelle, could not get funding for the movie, so he instead turned it into a short film and submitted it into the Sundance Film Festival in 2013. The short film ended up winning the Short Film Jury Award, and he got funding soon after.

5. Although a visual double was used, all of Andrew’s drumming were performed by Miles Teller himself to pre-recorded tracks. About 40% of Teller’s drumming was used in the soundtrack.

4. Miles Teller, who has played the drums since he was 15, received blisters on his hands due to the vigorous, unconventional style of jazz drumming. Some of his blood was on the drumsticks and the drum set as a result.

1. In the scene Where J.K. Simmons yells “I will fuck you like a pig,” you may notice that the camera cuts away from him when he delivers that line. The line was actually taken from the short film; the original line was “I am going to gut you like a fucking pig.” Damien Chazelle thought the new line was hilarious and included it in the production script. Simmons thought it was ridiculous and refused to say that line, but Chazelle included the ‘mistake’ in post-production anyway.
