King Louie was an orangutan in The Jungle Book (1967). In this film, he is a gigantopithecus which was an ancestor of the orangutan whose range included parts of India. Orangutans are not native to India. This change in species was made to make the film more accurate and fantastic.
9. Animals and reptiles inspired actors!
Actors studied behavior and movement of different animals and reptiles for this film. The actors copied those movements in motion capture VFX. All the locations in the film are also computer generated VFX.
