8. Eight movies was shown to cast for preparations!
For the first four days of production, director Christopher Nolan put cast and crew under a movie boot camp comprising eight films whose tone he wanted to emulate. The movies were King Kong (1933), Citizen Kane (1941), Cat People (1942), Stalag 17 (1953), Black Sunday (1977), A Clockwork Orange (1971), Heat (1995) and Batman Begins (2005).
7. Make-up of Harvey Dent/two face!
Harvey Dent/Two-Face’s disfigurement was created through computer graphics rather than prosthetic make-up. Director Christopher Nolan felt that, no matter how good the make-up was, it is still adding something onto actor’s face, when Two-Face’s appearance requires part of his face to be burned away.
6. Last forty minutes no Bruce Wayne!
Bruce Wayne makes his final appearance (out of the batsuit) in The Dark Knight (2008) a whole forty minutes before the end of the movie. This is when he is reacting to the sound of Gotham General Hospital exploding shortly after his car accident.
5. Two-face flipped coin eight times!
After his transformation, character Harvey Dent/Two-Face flips his coin eight times. It comes up on the good side five times for the Joker, Sal Maroni, Detective Ramirez, Dent himself, Gordon’s son (though Two-Face didn’t catch that one) and the bad side three times, for Detective Wuertz, Maroni’s driver and Batman.
4. 36 People in the film!
There are total 36 people who die in The Dark Knight (2008).
3. Joker and Bruce Wayne not appear together ever!
The Joker and Batman share scenes together in The Dark Knight (2008), however the joker and Bruce Wayne never share a scene together. In their face to face confrontations, neither Batman nor Joker refer to one another by name.

2. Joker was 1 inch taller than Batman!
At height 6’1 Heath Ledger is the second tallest actor to play Joker in a Batman movie. Other actors who plated Joker were Cesar Romero who is 6’3 tall and Jack Nicholson who is 5’9 tall.

The Dark Knight (2008) was voted #15 on Empire magazine’s 500 Greatest Movies Of All Time in September 2008 edition. It was also the first film to be ranked #1 on the IMDb within two days of its theatrical release.
