Brave (2012) is an animated Adventure/Comedy movie produced by Disney and Pixar. The movie is directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman.

Brave (2012) is the story of a young princess determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse.

13. The original title of the film was “The Bear and the Bow”.

12. Two additional software programs were specially developed for this film by Pixar in the period of three years. One of them allows simulation of Merida’s 1500 strands of hair curls to move together with her movements.

10. None of the footage shown in the preview trailer is in the finished film.

8. It took six years to make this film. Mark Andrews was initially the consultant, providing the Scottish themes for Brenda Chapman. However, by October 2010, Chapman left after four years of work with Andrews subsequently taking over but still keeping the intended story that Chapman wrote. Originally 80% of the film took place in snow, but when Chapman left the project so did much of the white stuff.

Despicable Me (2010) is an animated Family/Comedy movie directed by Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud.

The movie is about a criminal mastermind, who uses a trio of orphan girls as pawns for a grand scheme, he finds their love is profoundly changing him for the better.

Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Will Arnett gave their voices to different characters of the movie. The movie was a huge success worldwide. We got introduced to funny, smart, adorable minions for the first time in this movie.

Now, I have put together a list of Facts about Despicable Me (2010). Let's have a look.

1. The directors actually wrote a language for the gibberish the minions speak throughout the film. They called it "minion-ese". Each word the minions speak in the film translates into an actual word.

2. Will Arnett gained weight for the role of Mr Perkins because since he's playing a large, heavy-set man he thought it would improve his voicework.

3. Originally, the minions were supposed to be more like henchmen (human-like) but the studio didn't have the money for that. That's why they're all so short.

4. In his application to adopt the girls, Gru's first name is given as Felonious.
  In the Gru family tree, you can see Gru's mother's name is Marlina, and his father's name is Robert.

5. The film was animated in the French studio Mac Guff in Paris, and although a US production, it was written and directed by Spaniards and Frenchmen, making Despicable Me (2010) a very cross-cultural production.

6. Gru's profile resembles an Emperor Penguin, which is appropriate because the male Emperor Penguin is the one that cares for its young.

7. A possible reason for the origin of Gru's name is that the French word "la grue" means a crane. Gru's legs are long and thin, and resemble those of a giant crane.

8. When Gru first comes home in the beginning of the movie the tv is on and the talk show host is interviewing a guest who appears to be Sia, which can be determined by her blond hair with bangs covering her eyes.

10. While Gru is floating in space while orbiting the moon, we see that the number on Gru's "Swan Lake" ticket is 072069 - July 20, 1969 is the date of first moon landing, which Gru is seen watching in flashbacks.

11. There is a nod to a scene from The Godfather the morning after Gru has "given" the girls back to Miss Hatty. He reveals the playdoll hairdresser head and begins to scream and gesture in the same manner when a bloody horse head is discovered in the sheets.
